From the 2017/18 to 2021/22, the Chinese Wanda Group (since January 2015, the owner of 20% of Atletico Madrid shares) paid at least EUR 10 million for the naming rights to the stadium, which was named Wanda Metrpolitano.[2]
To cover the construction costs of the stadium, Atlético obtained a loan of EUR 160 million (plus interest) from Inbursa Bank.[3]
From July 2022, the rights to the name of the stadium belong to real estate development group Civitas Pacensis, for which it pays at least EUR 10 million. 20220702194123002112.html**2023-03-08[/ref]
